Ok so I just got back from my midnight screening, and it's much later now that I would normally stay up but I feel like I am too anxious to wait to tell about it with ym SGers. Beware, this post is likely to contain some spoilers. I am pretty sure most of us made it to a midnight show and that PST is the last time zone to reach it but just in case if there are some SGers who could not make it  at midnight you might want to wait until you do make it to show to read this.
First though on an off topic note if you saw my post in the thread containing Barcelona preimere pics of Rob, my grandmother was not well and in the hospital and she did die mid afternoon yesterday(the reason I hd brought this up in the other thread was because it might have lost me my midnight show because my mom may or may not have been up for it but we made it). My family was very broken but is ok with it because she was almost ninty and fought her way through bleak situations so many times before. She had to give up sometime, we all do. And thank you TRH37, I saw your reply over there and appricate it.
On with the film now!
First, I had heard from an interview posted here that there would be a glimpse into Edward's newborn years which had excited me but I had expected more than they gave. It was quite sexy though, Edward with newborn eyes OMR Drool I would be his victim anyday. When he was telling Bella that this new information might change her mind I was thinking "it just made me fall even more in love with you", hearing how he saw himself as such a monster in his victim's eyes despite that all of his victims had been murderers who probably would have ended up sentenced to death in prison at one time or another anyway. I don't remember the idea that he had rebelled against Carlisle though, was that in any of the books?

The wedding was really beautiful, Edward was the most gorgeous groom I have ever seen. *sigh* I loved their using 'Flightless Bird' as their wedding song, the same song they danced to at Prom. I don't understand a word of it hehe, but it's a pretty song.
Charlie was just adorable, he had these adorable puppy dog faces on pretty much the whole time. Billy Burke is so amazing at capturing his subtle but strong emotions about his passionate love for his daughter.
It even had some decent, anad very surprising humor in it with Emmett, loved the comment about her getting plenty of sleep because it will be the last lol. Gotta love Emmett. Next to RM's Tyler, he's second place for my ideal big brother.
Charlie's wedding speech, OMR HISTERICAL!
"I know Edward will be a good husband, I know this because I'm a cop...I know how to hunt...and I know how to use a gun!"

And I loved seeing Renee again, she's so cute. Smiling
I did not much care for how they did the scene where Jacob gets pissed and accidentally starts hurting Bella when he finds out that she intends to have sex with Edward. Edward's step in was not as defensive and sexy as in the book. He was supposed to say "get your hands off her!"

The honeymoon was a little less than I expected. The sex scene kind of disappointed me, damn PG13! RM was PG13 too but they still made it totally HOT. BD ended up showing not much more than the book did which had been nothing! I was confused too, she's supposed to be all bruised after the first sex and yet it appeared as though they showed multiple sex segments before he was pointing the brusing out. Maybe the confusion is owed to their having cut to a Jacob scene somewhere in there.
It also still bugs me that we got to see Edward untuck his shirt from his pants before the swim but then got a bunch of Bella prepping instead of a Rob strip.
I also did not care for her 'sex on the beach' dream, it so wasn't even sex, what the hell!? The part where she wakes and Edward is concerned was too mild, he's supposed to rock her in his arms and wipe her tears and then the second sex. This and the Edward stepping in between her and Jacob at the wedding were two of my favorite moments in the book and both were sooo toned down.
All and all though Rob was DAMN FUCKNIG GORGEOUS throughout the honeymoon area faint, and I really hated Kristen more than ever because I wanted to be her sooo damn badly. I wanna be close to Rob and get to be all playful and intimate with him so badly!
I also liked the addional scene not from the book where Edward begs the woman housekeeper to give him information to save Bella from the fetes and she kept saying he was a demon and that he'd sentenced her to death. Her character was not that intune in the book but that was a very interesting addition and Rob speaking Portugese, SOOO SEXY!

During the pregnancy is where it gets both sad and weird for me. I am glad they kept the Jacob bits to a minimum, some or maybe all of you I am not entirely sure know that I barely survived reading Jacob's section, he was nothig but whiny and almost nothing interesting happened it was a lot of him on guard duty outside the Cullens and complaining about the fetus being dangerous and an abomination blah blah blah.
I however would actually have preferred a bit more Jacob to having to see Bella so horribly skinny like that especially the bath scene, OMR that was quite creepy for me. I actually found it a bit hard to watch. I have always been creeped out by a lot of illnesses and medical stuff. I so did not picture that in the book, although I suppose I should have. Oh my gosh, just oh my gosh. *cringes*
oh and they completely missed another one of my favorite moments, Rosalie serving Jacob a meal in a dog bowl
I felt so badly for my poor baby through his having to watch it too, the pain in his eyes and his face was so heart wrenching. This had to be Rob's most amazing Edward performance of the entire saga which probably makes sense seeing as it was the most emotional time for him. As usual my baby boy nailed it though, I am so proud of him. My heart just broke for Edward throughout the entire film because I agree with keeping the fetus being stupid and suicidal. The only part I loved was Edward hearing the baby and getting very loving, kissing her belly and laughing together in each other's arms. Awww, I want that with Rob(without the creepy skinniness and bone crushing obviously hehe). I can just picture how glowing he would be in RL since he really wants kids.
Especially during the birth his emotion was just amazingly heart breaking, and the way they filmed the whole thing was quite interesting and clever because really it's too disgusting PG13 or R.
And the ending OMR I got so gitty inside. I swear I knew throughout most of the anticpation for this film that it was going to cut off exactly as it did! With Bella opening her eyes as a newborn. I feel so Alice like. Oh speaking of Alice, the thing with her saying she can't see Bella's future anymore due to the fetus, was that in the book, I don't remember that? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Overall, it was a good film, even my mom was impressed and she disliked the book so much she didn't even finish reading it, she had her friend at work tell her the ending. From what I can remember it kept very very well to the book, but then again it's been at least two years since I read them. I am already ready for the second part. I am not sure how I can get through it again though like if my bestie wanted to see it out of curiosity as she does with the whole kinny Bella thing.
So what did you all think?
I have so got to get to bed now XP
